Dizziness can make you feel unsteady and lightheaded. Simple exercises can help you get rid of dizziness, and if you are suffering from problems like ear infections, flu, or viral infections, curing these conditions first will subsequently cure your dizziness. Dizziness is also described as vertigo in various places and situation. You should always drink plenty of water and fresh fruit juices, because dehydration can make you feel faint, dizzy or lightheaded. However, it is a good idea to avoid sugary drinks like soda when trying to relieve your dizziness issues.


Mustard and Salt : Mix salt, pepper, vinegar and mustard in equal proportions. Drink the mixture along with a full glass of water. This helps to increase the blood circulation and keeps you steady on your feet!


Lemons : Prepare a mixture of lemon extract, a pinch of salt, black pepper and water. Drink it to get rid of dizziness.

Almonds and Pumpkin Seeds : Take approximately 3 tablespoons of wheat, 10-12 almonds and some pumpkin seeds and soak the mixture over night in water. The following day, grind them finely to make a paste. Now, add some cloves to this paste. Boil the mixture with milk. You can add some sugar as well to make it more appetizing. If you consume this mixture regularly for a few days, this home remedy can provide long-lasting relief from dizziness.


Amla : Amla is another great natural remedy for dizziness. You can soak amla and coriander overnight, then take it the following morning to find some relief and get back on your feet with confidence!

Diet for Dizziness

Here are some dietary tips to prevent dizziness :

  • Divide your meals into smaller portions instead of having large meals during the day. This will allow digestion to take place properly and will give you energy throughout the day.
  • Restrict your intake of foods high in carbohydrates.
  • Eat citrus fruits while travelling to prevent motion sickness.
  • Increase your intake of iron. Consume foods containing iron such as green leafy vegetables and eggs. In case you suffer from iron deficiency, talk to your doctor about taking an iron supplement. It is also important to increase intake of vitamin C as it helps in iron absorption.
  • Never skip meals. If you are unable to eat a full meal, opt for a healthy snack such as fruit or toast and peanut butter.
