Best Summer Vegetables for People with Diabetes

3. Lady Finger (Bhindi) – Supports Slow Sugar Absorption

Lady finger, also known as okra or bhindi, is another very helpful vegetable for people with diabetes. It contains soluble fiber, which helps slow down how sugar is absorbed in the body.

This means blood sugar levels rise slowly and stay under control. The glycemic index of bhindi is only 20, which is considered low. This makes it a safe and healthy choice for people managing diabetes. You can cook it in many ways to include it in your meals.
